NUEVA VISITA DE LOS DANESES AL CUATRO CAMINOS(OCTUBRE 2012)

Once again the danish from Elsinor have visited us to carry on with our student exchange. It has been as interesting or even more than last year and we all have enjoyed and learnt a lot from each other.

We did again this activity, this year also with the children of the first year. For most of them this has been the first  opportunity to use english in a real experience.

GREDOS

This is our group of the bilingual section learning and having fun in Gredos Center

ENGLISH IN GREDOS CENTER

1st day in Gredos  Center

Sorry about being so late,but better late than never.We arrived at Gredos Center in Navarredonda de Gredos (Avila) on march 19th in the afternoon.There we had a first contact with the camp counsellors who gave us some instructions about the running of the camp, and the rules that should be followed by the students.Then time for eating and some work in the field(food chains),to have a glimpse of the way in wich animals and plants interact inside a variety of ecosystems: scrubland, meadowland, river and the woods. Good sensations for the first day but very, very cold out there.

 

2nd day in Gredos Center

  

In the second day,our students learnt how to find their ways using map and compass,and also by other means like  the position of the sun for instance.Then we put all this orienteering workshop theory into practice and made  groups that competed against each other.

In the evening we went for the archery and multiadventure park activities.Lots of fun and very exciting stuff for all of us.

 

3rd day in Gredos Center


Very hard day for everyone.But  very funny and interesting as well.Several groups were made, different activities were organized and everything worked out in the end.The TV program, the english cookery course, and the team building games were enjoyed by all of us and by the monitors of the camp.Here you have some photos:

4th day in Gredos Center


Here you have some "pics" of the 4th day adventure in the mountains(regional park),learning some geology(rocks and the rock cycle),knowing of the Gredos Goats(Ibexes),the visit to the caves(Cuevas del Águila)and all that.We were a little bit disappointed at not having much snow,but never mind.Maybe next time we are luckier.Hope you enjoy them.
